Scott + Elene
There’s nothing quite like photographing a proposal. It’s a huge, pivotal moment in someone’s life that you get the privilege and opportunity to capture. When Scott met with us over his lunch break a few weeks before, we could see the excitement and anticipation not only in his eyes, but in his words and body language as he broke down his plan.
His soon-to-be fiancee would be accompanying him to the Westin hotel in downtown Dallas on a Monday evening.

His plan was to tell her they were going to have a few drinks before attending a work meeting. He had reserved a large board room on the 32nd floor, and with the help of the hotel staff and management, set up a sweet area complete with flowers and photographs of them.

Skyler and I arrived early to take some detail shots.

The charcuterie and cheese board with wine looked so good.

When Scott and Elene walked in, she immediately busted out laughing. We could see the nerves and excitement coming from them as “Landslide” by Oh Wonder (such a good music choice!) played throughout the room.

Scott had a speech prepared and Elene was giggling the whole time.

Of course, she said yes!

As Scott and Elene shared their moment together, Skyler and I snuck downstairs for the second surprise of the night. The presidential suite was full with all their friends and family waiting to surprise Elene. Scott’s mom flew out from Arizona just to celebrate with them. After staying the night in the presidential suite, Scott had also planned for them to leave bright and early the next morning for a mini vacation to Washington state.

There was hugs, drinks, and plenty of laughter.

I’m pretty sure this is the reaction everyone wants from their bride-to-be!

Elene’s father made a very sweet and moving toast. I may have been tearing up behind my viewfinder a little.

Tequila time!

Congratulations, Scott and Elene. You guys are a lovely couple and we wish you all the happiness in the world!

Skyler and Kelsey are two of the sweetest and talented people I could have ever hoped to have capture this moment of our lives!
I feel like not only do we now have photographers to capture our special moments… we’ve gained 2 new friends! I whole heartedly recommend you to anyone looking to capture a memorable moment in their life!
It’s with a sincere heart that I say “Thank you” one last time!
